Mark and I looked through all of the dresses that I book marked and we have narrowed it down to 4 choices.. which I may be able to eliminate one of those by going to david's bridal and trying it on... I am so confused as to a location for this.. It's going to be hard to find a place that we can have outside alcohol (decatur doesn't serve on sundays, but I'm wondering if this would be different bc it's a wedding, not some event thing), and have a live band.. I'm afraid we're gonna have to have two spots, like the wedding in one spot and the reception in another, which neither of us want to do.. We'd rather just have one place where we fuck shit up and get drunk and marry.. haha
I made a bad ass spicy chicken alfredo pizza last night... it was sooooooo fuckin' good... I was impressed! I thought I had scorched my heavy whipping cream when making it bc I was trying to feed the kids while I was making it, and I was pulling the chicken nugs out of the oven for them, and I looked and my cream was boiling over... but I dealt with it and fixed it, and it was delicious! Mark loved it! I felt like it could have been on a bigger crust, but whatev.. I need to get a simple easy pizza crust recipe... hmmmm.... ^_^
who the fuck knew that there were so many websites for wedding planning... srsly!? I think we are just gonna do something simple with a band and food, and leave it at that.. I'll do all the DIY decoration stuffs, with some help, of course, once we figure out where the fuck we are going to have this thing... and then it'll all fall into place from there.. I think the food will be the easiest part bc I love to cook, and my family loves to cook, and Christy said that she would order whatever I need through sysco since she can.. And I think all that part will be cake.. I'm thinking abt making my own cake.. I've gotta try it long before actually doing it though.. so soon, I'm gonna be a crazy cake bakin betty.. so if you're in the area and wanna check it out, plz do... I'm thinking chocolate cake, whipped topping with fondant on top of that to make it pretty, probably do a topsy turvy cake... Possibly do some type of strawberry something in the layers of the cake... hmmm... I'm thinking I need to find a great cake recipe first, and invest in some more pans, and a good spatula for icing... I can do this, it will be simple.. :D If I can do one prototype right, I can do the real thing.. If it absolutely comes to it, I guess we can use a bakery, but I'd almost just rather do it myself... I'm just worried abt the fondant and whether I will fuck it up or not.. For the grooms cake, I think I am going to make brownies and ice them with chocolate and put fondant on it and 'paint' it like a new castle bottle, and put it in the shape of one... I think Mark would love that.. Brownies are really one of the only sweet things that I've known him to want... he's not really a sweets guy.. ugh.. I guess I am going to do something.. my hair is still wet and the girls have been down abt an hour, so they are probably soon to wake up.. I need to dry and flat iron my hair before they wake up, so we can go visit my mom and Nonnie...
I'll just end this with the dresses we've picked as the last standing ones, thus far.
The dresses we've narrowed it down to are as follows- in the order that I would be more likely to buy them.. the first one I Love, and Mark really Loves it, and said that he could totally see me in it... (Red, of course... But I can't decide if I'd do a white or a black belt- or just say fuck it and do red to blend).. I loved the second one also, and the reason the 3rd is still there, is bc I love the way the top is cut.. and the last (being the most expensive) I think I may be able to cross off of my list.. I think I love the big poofy fun ones best..
